Eastern Star Campus
Oriskany Campus
Our Campus is situated on a beautiful country setting. Our landscaped grounds include a gazebo, patio, decks, a bubbling water fountain and a screenhouse. The paved walkways with benches invite our residents, their families and visitors to pause and enjoy the beauty and splendor of nature.
There is a beautiful Chapel located on our grounds with magnificent stained glass windows. Weekly services are held here as well as special services for religious holidays. The Chapel provides a space for quiet moments to be spent by our Residents and visitors. Eastern Star employees, members and members of the community may also use the Chapel for weddings and celebrations. The Chapel carillon plays each day every hour on the hour, furnishing enjoyment to our Residents and the community for miles around.
We host many Eastern Star Chapter meetings here on our Campus which are attended by many of our Residents, both from the Eastern Star Home and Pounder Hall.
Life at the Home is augmented by the support of active OES members, visitors and volunteers, who generously respond to the needs of the Home. Our resident activities include shopping, coffee and news hour, social hours, pet therapy, reminiscing hours, bingo games, music appreciation, festivities apropos to the various holidays throughout the year, and many, many more too numerous to mention. We also provide our Residents with community excursions such as small group rides, trips to shopping malls, fall foliage outings, lunches and dinners at local restaurants, etc. We also encourage them to participate in community events and to exercise their voting privileges.
Our Grand Chapter Office is also located on our Eastern Star Campus, which includes the Grand Secretary's Office. Daily assistance is available to all Eastern Star members, Chapters, Districts and prospective members at this location.
We also have a large outdoor covered pavilion, the "Adirondack-Starer" Pavilion on our Campus. This pavilion is used by our Campus for various functions including Pilgrimage Day which is held every July as well as resident and family picnics, staff activities, Day Care Center graduation, antique car shows, and Father's Day barbeques.
A campground is also located across from our Campus on the other side of Route 69 here in Oriskany. We offer fifteen sites with electricity and water available. Many of our members stay with us in our campground while attending functions here during the year including our yearly Pilgrimage events.
Additionally, our campus is entirely smoke free for all who visit and/or live here, which includes residents, family members, employees and any visitors.
And finally and most importantly, we feel that our Campus medical and nursing staff are top-notch and our support staff, such as administration, social services, business office, dietary, housekeeping, maintenance, activities and therapy departments are dedicated, qualified, loving personnel who give much more of themselves as they grow to love and respect our Residents, both at the Eastern Star Home and Pounder Hall.
