The campus of the Eastern Star Community, 8290 State Route 69 in Oriskany welcomes its New York State Eastern Star members and members of the community to its Annual Festival of Stars Celebration on Saturday, July 28th. This annual event is solely held to raise funds for the many varied resident services that are offered at the Eastern Star Home, a non-profit organization. There will be a bazaar, entertainment, and 30+ tents and booths where homemade articles, foodstuffs, arts & crafts, etc. will be sold, in addition to many food tents and a children’s entertainment area including children’s games, scavenger hunt, as well as a Child ID Program. The Utica Zoo will also be on site with animal demonstrations and Big Frog 104 will be doing a live broadcast from the Campus.
The tents will be open at 8:30 a.m. until approximately 2:45 pm. Come enjoy breakfast and/or lunch – make a day of it! At 3:00 p.m., there will be a memorial service including gift presentations to the Oriskany Fire Department and the Stittville Fire Department. These gifts will benefit the entire community. There will also be an Employee Honorary Recognition Ceremony to a long-time employee of our Campus.
Festival of Stars is an annual tradition at the Eastern Star Campus, welcoming hundreds of Eastern Star members who stay locally for the week/weekend and dine and shop in the local area. Hundreds of visitors are expected.
Tours of the Campus will be available including the Eastern Star Home’s residential wing and rehabilitation suite. All festivities are open to the general public and admission is free. This event will be held rain or shine!
